I am Ema Bauer, a Slovenian visual artist whose creative path has been shaped by a lifelong fascination with human emotion, nature, and the invisible forces that connect them. Born in Novi Sad in 1967 and raised in Slovenia from early childhood, I developed a deep appreciation for art and culture long before choosing painting as my professional vocation.
After many years working as a translator, I followed my call to become a professional artist and graduated in Painting in 2019 at the College of Visual Arts in my hometown. This formal education provided both technical mastery and artistic confidence while allowing my distinctive visual language to evolve freely.
Today, I create Original Expressionist Paintings that combine expressive gestures, symbolism, abstraction, and surreal imagery. My work reflects not only the external landscape but also the landscapes of memory, intuition, and the human soul.
